Cloning From the View Of Moral Ethic

The cloning issues can be related with egoism. When we are talking about the egoism, it is a teleological theory of ethics that sets as its goal the benefit, pleasure or greatest good (pleasure, happiness, knowledge, power, and self-realization) of the oneself alone. It’s about doing things for one own self interest, which actually motivated by some selfish desire like desire for reward, avoidance of guilt and personal happiness. The person that applied the ethical egoism would consider the consequences that the action will have on him. He will make sure that the action produces the most good or the fewest evils the morality right action for him to perform.
So when the cloning issues happen, most of the people will just accept it since the cloning does bring lot of benefits in our daily life. For example, the cloning of fruits and plant will outcome with high quality products such as more juicy, with higher immune system, more quantity, and required shorter time to grow. Besides, the cloning of genes or bacteria also has prolong the human life and the cure for some disease like cancer also have been cloned. From here, we know that the cloning bring a lot of pleasure and happiness to the humanity. As the action of cloning only bring positive consequences to the humanity, therefore the egoist will accept it>
